Holiday Blues

Is anyone else feeling those constant holiday jitters? Just me? Well as the holidays approach we have seen the highs and the lows of this season and for some that means having multiple celebrations. But for others it means wallowing in the lows while trying to keep their head above the water. And yes, this will tie into the consistent environmental issues but let's just take a moment to think about how it all affects us mentally.  The holiday season can be a whirlwind of emotions. For some, it's a magical time filled with lights, laughter, and traditions that warm the soul. For others, it can be a reminder of loneliness, financial stress, or just an overwhelming need to "keep up" with expectations. New Collection or More Destruction

As the new seasons pass, we are consistently seeing new fashion collections from different brands. All types of gorgeous handbags, new coats, and the most kill-worthy dresses drop right in time to celebrate the season. But with these new pieces come a variety of questions regarding how they were made, was the creation process ethical, how much of the environment is being destroyed for this? Truth is, we will never really know the full story behind the production of many fashion items. The fashion industry is notorious for its lack of transparency, especially when it comes to the environmental and ethical impacts of its practices. Fast fashion, in particular, often prioritizes speed and cost over sustainability, leaving consumers in the dark about the harmful effects their purchases may have. As a result, clothes we wear may have been produced under poor working conditions or contributed to massive environmental degradation.

This is why the shift towards sustainable fashion is so crucial. By choosing brands that prioritize ethical sourcing and environmentally-friendly practices, we can make a positive impact. Sustainability isn’t just a trend—it’s a necessity. It’s about making informed choices and supporting companies that value people and the planet just as much as profit. So, the next time you're browsing for new seasonal pieces, consider asking: where did this come from? How was it made? Every small decision matters, and together, we can push the fashion industry to adopt more ethical and sustainable practices.
